The Return

Kayla was mesmerized as the Mother's pendant, and the stone in the Father's silver ring, both shone with startling brilliance as they helped channel the immense power!!

As the power continued, Kayla stared in wonder as my legs shifted and straightened; the bones reforming to normal, as the muscles loosened and unwound!! She knew that she was a Healer, and had used her gift, given to her by the Mother, on many occasions while living in her village, but both the Mother and Father were the two most powerful Healers in the world, and now Kayla could watch them work their extraordinary powers, which she knew were far, far beyond what hers could ever do!!

Suddenly a glowing blue line shot down the left side of my body, from my head to just above my navel, pulsing and wavering with intense blue energy!! It gradually faded away, then another intense blue light suddenly erupted from the top of my head in pulsing slivers, shimmering and dancing, before a blazing amber ripple flashed down across my body, as Kayla instinctively threw up an arm to shield her eyes from the brilliant light!!

She watched in awe as my muscles pulsed and flexed across my body, growing stronger and more defined, before she suddenly noticed my fingernails were re-growing rapidly, and my left middle finger and nail were quickly regenerating and returning to normal!! The Mother and Father kept their hands upon my body the entire time, constantly channeling power through me!! Suddenly the blue and amber flashed out, replaced by glowing silver-white over my whole form, before a special mark began forming slowly on my skin!

A small form that Kayla recognized as the helix, the Mother's symbol, slowly engraved itself into my left shoulder, glowing fiery amber! When the power finally faded, both the Mother and Father looked at each other, and smiled. They then both turned to Kayla, and nodded knowingly, as she smiled, her eyes shining with joy!!

They allowed her to come to my side, as she gasped in amazement upon noticing my tube and shunt were now completely gone, and there was absolutely no sign of their presence under my skin, and my scars were also gone, before she genuinely thanked them both for healing me. The Father then removed his ring, and slipped it on my right middle finger, as the sunlight made the gold and silver gleam with startling brilliance, and the emerald stone shimmer, before he placed his right hand gently upon my chest. "You have a great heart, Charlie, and truly are worthy!" he said with quiet confidence and determination. "In all your battles throughout life, you have stood strong against all darkness, and have remained true to your unique and benevolent nature, and that is why I choose you as one of my own; a son whom we are both deeply proud of!! We are also proud that you and Kayla are together, and may you both live joyous and peaceful lives. Our gifts have given you a new life, and we have seen the truth and depth of who you are, Charlie! I am honoured to give you what we know you have earned! Wear my ring with pride, my son!"

Father Aragorn then lifted his hand from my chest, stepping back, as the Mother then placed her right hand on my chest, before leaning down to kiss me gently on the forehead, before they both bade Kayla farewell, turning to walk into the clearing, soon fading into the distance, before everything faded around us back to the familiar walls of the cabin, as Kayla slowly woke up!!
